Next to their physical body humans have several non-physical fields. These fields interpenetrate each other. These fields can be visually perceived as containing several coloured subtle energy concentrations. The total of these energy-fields is called the aura.
The colour or colours one perceives during an out of the body experience in one’s owe proximity is one’s own aura.
Better than saying that a human has an aura, is to say that one is this field(s). This fields are even more fundamental than the physical body because they survive the death of the physical body.
The different emotions are visible within this field as different colours.

Aura energies attracts similar energies to its own field, this generates a specific atmosphere and these fields resonate also with similar energies at a distance.
It is the height of tuning in on energies at a particular level and by this attraction and resonance, that is determinative for the area, the level where one goes after death. Traditionally this has been described as the transition from hell, to purgatory, to heaven, but this mythological view gives a distorted image.
